- Always ride a bicycle with the flow of traffic.
- Wear a helmet. You should always wear helmet foe safety when cycling. As for laws, there is no state-wide bicycle helmet law in Washington, but may city and county require bicyclists to wear helmets.
- Bicyclists are governed by the same legal duties as those operating other vehicles (except for various auto-specific special rules). Bicyclists may be ticketed by law enforcement.
